Mariana Merlo do Nascimento

Award-winning cyclist from Espírito Santo, Mariana Merlo do Nascimento died at the age of 27, this Friday 14th. According to the family, Mariana felt unwell during the afternoon and was taken to the Sílvio Avidos Hospital, where, around 8pm, she died.

The athlete's body was taken to Vitória, where it will undergo an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
